may we always live intentionally

16 January 2010

despite not having a lot of time, i seem to have an abundance of it lately. this however, i feel i can attribute to the fact that i am a nomad, commuting between lansing and kbs. i never like to overstay my welcome, though i know i shouldn't feel that way. my survival strategies have been based upon the kindness of friends who lend couches and meijer bran flakes. yum!

classes have gone well thus far. but only a week has passed with nearly 18 more to go. i am also teaching an intro to micro class for allied health professionals this semester. i have a total of 32 students all of which demand my attention every minute for 2 hours. don't get me wrong, i like doing it, but it takes a lot out of you so by the end of the day, i'm completely exhausted. i don't know how profs are able to keep moving. i would be shot after a semester of intense teaching.

i must say, compared to some of my friends, life is rather mundane in michigan. of course there is cross country skiing and skating and sledding and snow and ice and very, very little sunlight. in most cases, the sun is covered by several layers of greying clouds overhead. Though sometimes, the sun manages to find its way through the clouds...

i wish there was more to report.
