strawberry sorbet

ah, another wonderful summer day in michigan. I realize I haven't written in a long while so here is an update thus far...
I bought a white ford escape hybrid on July 2
Went on a road trip to Sleeping Bear Dunes in northern Michigan the next weekend
Drove back to Nebraska for a surprise visit the weekend after
Flipped Kali's kayak in the middle of gull lake
Went to see Rachel in South Haven and ended up staying the next day, just because
and now I'm home alone in the Carriage House because Jarad is gone to ESA in New Mexico.

I'm getting ready to move again, to a new apartment in Lansing. if you want the address, you'll have to let me know. it's a nice place and i'm going to be living with another friend of mine from NOAA. He's in the fisheries department so I won't see him much, but it will be nice to just have someone there.

In other news, I'm in the process of planning my trip home in September, and also my trip to Europe. heather tells me that she is applying to Norway, so this will make my trip even better. How great would it be to see all of my really good friends inside a month and in foreign countries! I can't wait. In the meantime, Maggie, Lacey and Alicia are coming to visit next week and I couldn't be more excited.

I promise I will start writing more. but you're going to have to tolerate more science related topics.... i feel that it's going to consume my life....

and now its time for strawberry sorbet :)
